Since founding ORION HOTELS, INC. in 1999, Sergio F. Ortiz has built a distinguished reputation as a trusted advisor to hotel owners, developers, and operators across the full spectrum of hospitality, from independent boutique luxury hotels and resorts to major branded affiliations and condo-hotel ventures. With over 40 years of industry experience, Sergio brings a rare blend of operational depth, financial sophistication, and strategic foresight to every project.

A Candidate pursuing a Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation and seasoned hospitality real estate broker, Sergio has structured and negotiated hotel deals valued from $4 million to $400 million. His academic foundation includes a bachelor’s degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management from the University of Wisconsin–Stout—recipient of the prestigious Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award—as well as executive certification in Hotel Real Estate Investments and Asset Management from Cornell University. His professional development includes completion of the Dale Carnegie and Stephen Covey 7 Habits programs, underscoring his commitment to leadership excellence and continuous personal growth.

Sergio’s career has spanned every critical discipline within hospitality, including asset management, operations, food & beverage, marketing, real estate development, financing, brokerage, and technical consulting.
